Coordinated B.A.-M.D. Program
The B.A.-M.D. program is an eight-year combined bachelor’s/M.D. program that allows students to be accepted into both college and medical school directly from high school. Students complete four years of undergraduate studies at Brooklyn College, followed by four years of medical studies.
For over 40 years, our program has selected students who are not only academically exceptional but passionate about a variety of subjects, from science and the arts to sports, music, student government, and community service. We take pride in affording our students the freedom to choose any major and actively encourage students to explore humanities or social sciences as they complete their bachelor’s degree.
While this program is a part of the Honors Academy at Brooklyn College, B.A.-M.D. students are fully integrated into the college community, taking classes alongside the general student body and engaging in a broad range of campus activities. Those who successfully complete our honors undergraduate premedical curriculum earn a baccalaureate degree (B.A. or B.S., depending on their major) from Brooklyn College. Additionally, every student accepted into the B.A.-M.D. Program is eligible for a Brooklyn College Foundation Presidential Scholarship, covering four years of undergraduate study.
