Student Career Services
The Koppelman School of Business works closely with the Magner Career Center to offer our students events and services designed to prepare them for a successful career. Through partnerships with employers, staff, faculty, and alumni, the center develops programs to meet the specific needs of the students in the business school.
Recent graduates of the Koppelman School of Business who actively prepared for their career by participating in internships and using the Magner Career Center’s services have found career success after graduation. Internships and Employers
Through job fairs, the internship database, and internship panels, the Magner Career Center gives Koppelman School of Business students access to internships and employers at a wide variety of companies, including Sony Entertainment, PwC, New York City Department of Finance, HSBC, Bloomberg, KPMG, Deutsche Bank, Con Edison, UBS, The Society Model Management, EY, State Farm Insurance, Allstate, Enterprise, Duane Reade, and FINRA.
Unable to afford to work an unpaid internship?
The Magner Career Center selects winners from each school to receive internship stipends. Winners are selected twice a year, and students should apply the semester before they plan to intern.

Alumni Mentor Program
The Magner Career Center’s alumni mentor program pairs students with a mentor in their field of interest. Mentors have come from organizations including Goldman Sachs, EY, Citigroup, Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, PwC, Black Stone Group, Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, and CSFB. The center also hosts mentor luncheons and networking nights as another way to connect students with alumni.
Career Workshops and Panels
The Magner Career Center and the Koppelman School of Business bring back successful alumni to serve as speakers and participants in career workshops and panels, mentor luncheons, and networking nights. Past participants include the executive director of EY, a partner from KPMG, an AVP of group operational risk management from Deutsche Bank, a managing director at BNY Mellon, and the assistant vice president from The Blackstone Group. Events and programs specific for the Koppelman School of Business have included Secrets of the Highly Successful in Investment Banking, the PwC “Lunch with a Recruiter,” Con Edison Management Associate’s GOLD Program, the Careers in Business Panel, and Accounting Boot Camp as well as the alumni and recruiter panels at the school’s Business Matters! Symposium.
Company Visits
Learn first-hand about a profession of your interest and its career requirements through a visit to a company’s office. Past visits have been to companies such as Google, EY, Yelp, DKNY, Deloitte, Bloomberg, and Goldman Sachs. The visits are often hosted by Brooklyn College alumni.
